Cox, Ibold honored at ACE Awards

Veteran editors Joel Cox and Doug Ibold will receive the American Cinema Editors' Lifetime Career Achievement Award at the 62nd annual Eddie Awards on Feb. 18, the org announced Friday.Cox will receive his award from his longtime collaborator, Clint Eastwood, and Dick Wolf will give Ibold his honor at a ceremony held at the Beverly Hilton and hosted by Patton Oswalt.Cox won an Academy Award for his work on Eastwood's "Unforgiven," and has served as an editor on more than 30 of Eastwood's films including his most recent, "J. Edgar."Emmy Award-nominated editor Ibold has been working in television for more than 40 years, serving as editor on several long-running shows like "Law & Order," "Magnum, P.I." and "Miami Vice."The award is designed to recognize editors whose body of work and reputation within the industry is outstanding.The full list of film and TV nominees for the Eddie Awards is available at americancinemaeditors.com.
