do music fans who like "R n B" like the music in the charts?

when i say "R n B" i'm talking about that hip hop Style stuff (like
riannah) that's in the charts not real RB (like leadbelly, son house
ect) anyways.

when i say music fans i mean people who listen to music for music NOT
for fashion, parties or filling a silence. see i would consider myself
a rock music fan but i don't like any mainstream rock that makes the
charts with one or two exceptions. I'm wondering if there are people
who generally appreciate chart music as art.

I know most rap fans don't listen to chart music is this the same for
"r n b" or what ever you call it.
